Fibroscan

Fibroscan Unit

A FibroScan is a non-invasive medical test that measures the stiffness of your liver, which can indicate the amount of scarring or fibrosis in your liver.

Fibroscan Unit

It’s a type of ultrasound scan that uses vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE) to measure the time it takes for sound waves to bounce back from your liver.

A FibroScan can help your doctor: Understand the condition of your liver, Identify how much liver damage you have, and Plan your treatment.

A FibroScan is painless and doesn’t break the skin or enter your body. You can usually go home or return to work immediately after the scan.
